Project Update

December 5, 2014 UPDATE –  KUB’s contractor, Garney Construction, continued new service tie overs on Clinch Avenue, Union Avenue, and Charles Place. Work has also continued along Clinch Avenue, Union Avenue, and State Street.

Next week will be a busy week for Garney Construction crews.  On Monday, crews will also begin work in the Bacon and Company Parking lot near the corner of West Summit Hill Drive and State Street. This work will impact the parking lot and Fire Street, and a traffic flagger will be present to help with any traffic issues.

On Tuesday, December 9, crews will close State Street (between W. Church Avenue and Clinch Avenue) and Clinch Avenue (between South Central Street and S. Gay Street) for the day. Traffic wishing to enter the State Street Parking Garage must use the Union Avenue entrance only (the entrance on State Street and Clinch Avenue will be closed). Exiting traffic will still be allowed onto State Street as well as Union Avenue. Please view updated map for more detailed traffic information.
